Salasya to campaign against ODM in Kasipul Kabondo, joins forces with Aroko
Peter Salasya has vowed to set foot in Kasipul Kabondo to campaign for Philip Aroko in the by-election slated for November 2027.
In a statement released on his social media handle on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, the MP, who recently declared his support for Philip Aroko in the Kasipul Kabondo by-election, confirmed that he had finally met with the businessman and politician. He pledged to join him on the campaign trail in the county.

“Thanks so much, my followers, for connecting me to my favourite incoming MP, Hon. Philip Aroko a very cool and focused man. We shall be landing in Oyugis very soon. Kasipul, we love you,” Salasya said.
Salasya appreciated his fans for connecting him with Aroko after days of urging the Kasipul electorate to rally behind him. He described Aroko as a calm and composed leader.
“Guys, help me tag my candidate for Kasipul this evening and show him love Philip Aroko for MP. Just type good life ama otete otete. We must win in Kasipul and Malava,” he said.
Aroko partnering with defeated ODM aspirants
This comes just days after Philip Aroko urged defeated ODM aspirants to abandon their bids and throw their weight behind his candidature in the Kasipul polls.
He defended the move, arguing that the only way to block what he described as “outsiders” from imposing a leader on them was by uniting behind one candidate to defeat Boyd Were, the son of the late Kasipul MP.

“Since the journey to replace our late MP began, Kasipul has had its fair share of ups and downs. “It has been a bumpy ride for all the political players, irrespective of the parties they stood for,” he said.
The politician further accused ODM of attempting to impose a leader on the constituency, urging fellow aspirants to resist such efforts through unity.
“It’s in that line that I take this earnest initiative to pen this message to all other aspirants, urging all of us to join forces in a united front to challenge and defeat the external powers hell-bent on forcing a leader down our throats,” Aroko stated.
