Ignore fake opinion polls, Ruto commands 65% of votes in this country – Muthama claims
Former Machakos senator and United Democratic Alliance party chairman Johnstone Muthama has rubbished opinion polls that are placing Ruto’s public approval ratings at 45%.
The ex-lawmaker labelled the polls as fake, claiming that they do not represent the true picture of the ground. He also accused the unnamed persons behind the polls for pushing a defeatist narrative about the second-in-command.
Muthama opines that the Deputy President actually commands 65% of votes in the country. He also disputed polls that indicated that ODM leader Raila Odinga will easily sweep votes in the former Nyanza province.
According to him, Ruto will garner a significant chunk of votes in Migori county, whose governor Okoth Obado has publicly avowed his support for his presidential candidature.
“Fake polls being peddled around to shape a Defeatist Narrative about Deputy President William Ruto is dead on arrival. It’s without doubt that the Deputy President commands 65% of votes in this Country. Its only Nyanza (save Migori County) he will garner less votes. Take that to the bank,” Muthama said.
