Buzeki hails Gideon Moi for prioritising unity over politics after joining hands with Ruto
Businessman and Uasin Gishu politician Zedekiah Buzeki Bundotich has lauded Gideon Moi for his decision to prioritise peace and unity over personal political ambition, saying it is a mark of true leadership.
In a statement shared on his Facebook page on Sunday, October 12, 2025, Buzeki extended a warm welcome to the KANU leader, noting that his move to join hands with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) reflects a spirit of cooperation and inclusivity that the country needs.
“Welcome, Gideon Moi. We warmly welcome Gideon Moi to join hands with us in UDA as we continue to build a broad-based government anchored on unity and development,” Buzeki stated.

He praised Moi’s recent decision not to contest for the Baringo senatorial seat, calling it a gesture of selflessness that puts the nation’s unity above individual interest.
“We sincerely thank him for the great sacrifice of not contesting for the Baringo senatorial seat, a selfless act done in the interest of cooperation and the unity of our communities in the Rift Valley and beyond,” he said.
Buzeki described Moi’s political step as one that embodies statesmanship and maturity, emphasising that such gestures are necessary to heal divisions and promote peaceful coexistence among communities.
