CAF CC: Zamalek name highly-experienced squad for Police FC duel
Egyptian giants Zamalek SC have named a strong squad that is set to face Kenya Police in a CAF Confederation Cup match at Nyayo Stadium on Saturday, September 9, 2024.
Experienced Mahmoud Shikabala and Tunisian forward Seifeddine Jaziri are among the players named for the first-leg action. However, the 2019 and 2023 Confederation Cup champions will be without Mahmoud Bentayeng due to an incomplete registration process, but he is expected to be available for the return leg on September 20.
This is the Police’s maiden appearance in continental competition and booked a date with Zamalek after beating Coffee FC from Ethiopia. The vital goal was scored by Rashid Toha, and the Cops progressed courtesy of a 1-0 win over the two legs.
