Veteran Karate tactician Van de Venter gives nod to Kenya’s new standards

A globally renown Kanate tactician has hailed the high standards of the sport in the country describing them as technical.

Vincent Van de Venter from Mauritius made the remarks at the weekend in Nairobi where he tutored children, youth and adults on basic and advanced techniques of Shotokan Karate.

“I am delighted to be in Kenya to follow the passion of my life- Karate. I have had a lovely time with children, the youth and fellow instructors. The standards of karate here are good and we can only make them better. I hope to come back some other time,” said Vincent.

The official’s visit in the country was to share skills and sharpen techniques of players in the country. Vincent Van der Venter, from Mauritius, spent the weekend in Nairobi teaching and training children, the youth and adults on basic and advanced techniques of Shotokan Karate.

The instructor from the Hombu Dojo Karate International (HDKI), has partnered with Taikan Africa, a local martial arts company to grow and expand karate in Africa. Speaking separately,
