Tusker FC midfielder Humphrey Mieno says the two-week international break has helped players rejuvenate and recover well, saying they are now better focused heading to the home stretch of the FKF Premier League season.

“It was very important for us. We needed the rest because we were a bit fatigued due to the congested fixtures but now we are rejuvenated. We have the strength back and  are ready  for the next task,” says Mieno.

Meanwhile, the former international described their weekend match against KCB, which ended  1-1, as one of their toughest.

In hindsight, Mieno said, “It was a very tough match with few chances because KCB is a really good side and have improved over the years. The players were dejected at the final whistle because currently we are holding ourselves in high regard and we wanted all three points.
