Harambee Stars and Al Arabi striker Michael Olunga continued his fine form in front of goal as Al Arabi edged Al Shahaniya 2-0 to move up to eighth on the Qatar Super League standings on Friday, October 31, 2025.

The Kenyan was involved in the creation of the first goal before wrapping up the scores with a top-drawer finish as Al Arabi continued its season resurgence with another victory.

Olunga teed up fellow attacker Yazan Alhaimat for the first opener. The tricky striker turned round his marker to slot home the opener.

The strike was his tenth league goal in all competitions, coming after the team’s Qatar Super League Cup 6-1 cruise against Lusal on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

The strike extended the striker’s rich scoring form, coming after he found the net in Al Arabi’s previous clash against Al Sadd on Saturday, October 25, 2025.

Olunga, who has now scored three of his team’s 11, however, had to contend with a missed man-of-the-match performance.

Al-Haimat took the match honours for the consecutive clash running as he continued his rich vein of goal-scoring form.

Against Lusal, the attacker’s performance proved crucial in setting a comfortable 4-0 cushion heading to the breather, before the Kenyan helped seal the win in the final half.

The Harambee Stars attacker, who started the match on the substitute bench, grabbed the fifth goal of the clash, nodding home from a cross in the 74th minute against the minnows.

Al Arabi’s next league clash will be against fierce rivals Al Ahli, Doha, on Wednesday, November 9, 2025.

The game is set to take place at Al Thumama Stadium.

The prolific striker signed for Al Arabi in July 2025 from rivals Al Duhail SC.
