Kenyan forward Lopaga reveals targets after 1st goal at Brest

Kenyan forward Josphat Lopaga has set his sights on scoring more goals for his current club, Dynamo Brest.

Lopaga made a strong start with Dynamo Brest, scoring his first goal for the team in their recent victory, marking his second appearance since joining the club in early August.

Lopaga’s determination

Following the win, Lopaga expressed his determination to contribute more goals to secure additional victories for his side.

“My objective here was to assist the team by finding the back of the net. I hope to continue scoring more goals and aiding the team in achieving more victories,” he remarked.

Lopaga, formerly associated with AFC Leopards and Posta Rangers, appears to be enjoying his time in Brest. He has developed a fondness for the fans, his fellow players, and the overall teamwork at the club.

“Dynamo Brest is an excellent team, with passionate fans and a great city. Everything about Brest is wonderful. I appreciate the fans, the city, my teammates, and the strong team spirit. It’s all great at Dynamo Brest,” he stated.

Lopaga’s smooth transition into the club has been facilitated by his Ivorian teammate, Cedric Kouassio.

Lopaga understanding team culture

Kouassio’s proficiency in English has been invaluable in helping Lopaga understand the team’s culture and dynamics, and the two have become close friends.

“Cedric and I are forming a strong connection. His knowledge of English has been a significant asset as he guides me in understanding the team’s culture, behavior, and more. He’s a wonderful friend.”

Lopaga’s early passion for football initially led him to the Shy Football Academy and later to the Gor Mahia youth team.

He continued his football journey with stints at Mount Kenya United and Posta Rangers before eventually landing at AFC Leopards.

Lopaga has also represented Kenya’s Under-23 team in the CECAFA Championship, showcasing his talent on the international stage.
