Meanwhile, Nairobi United has issued an update concerning a league fixture against record champions Gor Mahia on Sunday, December 21, 2025.

According to the club statement released on Friday, December 19, 2025, the eagerly-awaited fixture will be staged at the Dandora Stadium due to a lack of a suitable venue to stage the encounter. After denying the record champions a chance to play continental football by beating them in the FKF Cup final last season, Naibois will be keen to upset Gor Mahia, who are leading the standings.

The confirmation comes as both Nyayo National Stadium and the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, facilities are booked for musical events over the weekend of Saturday, December 20, 2025.

”Following the unavailability of a suitable venue capable of hosting a fixture of this magnitude, Nairobi United Football Club has been compelled to host the match at Dandora Stadium, our home ground. Dandora Stadium has a lean seating capacity of approximately five thousand (5,000) spectators, which shall be strictly accounted for between both clubs’ supporters,” the statement said in part.

According to the statement, Nairobi United FC will have 2,000 tickets, while Gor Mahia FC will take the remaining 3,000 tickets.
