Leopards beat Darajani Gogo in preps for City Stars tie

AFC Leopards claimed a morale-boosting 2-0 victory over FKF National Super League side Darajani Gogo in a friendly clash played this Wednesday, January, 29, 2025 in Nairobi.

Luke Namanda and Cliffton Miheso’s strikes proved sufficient to send Leopards past the Kibera based side.

The clash saw Ingwe bolster preparations for the Football Kenya Premier League’s second half season set to start with the match 19 games.

Leopards are ranked seventh after 17 games with 26 points, ten points adrift of leaders Police and Tusker FC.

The club has registered seven wins, claimed five draws and suffered as many defeats in that space.

They face Nairobi City Stars this Sunday, February 2, 2025 in Dandora.

Nine KPL ties

The 2:00 pm kick off is slated for television coverage and will be among the nine clashes lined up for the week 19 schedule.

Bidco United and Ulinzi Stars will get the weekend going on Friday, January, 31, 2025.

The match scheduled for 3:00 pm will be staged at the Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos county.

Action will proceed on Saturday, February, 1, 2025 with a triple clash.

Gor will host Posta Rangers in the day’s opener at Dandora Stadium. Zedekiah Otieno’s charges seek a return to winning ways after playing out to a stalemate against Homeboyz in their last clash.

The match will kick off at 4:00 pm.

A showdown between FC Talanta and Mathare United will also be on cards as Kakamega Homeboyz and Mara Sugar cancel each other out.

Talanta -Mathare tie will be staged at Kenyatta stadium Machakos as Homeboyz welcome Mara Sugar at Mumias complex starting 3:00 pm.

Sunday action will Tusker eyeing a return to the top when they welcome fourth placed KCB in Machakos at 4:00 pm.The clash will be preceded by an in-form Police FC  playing at home against Sofapaka at 1:00 pm.

Batoto ba Mungu will be out to snap a three -game winless streak having last claimed a league in January 19 in a 2-1 win over Posta rangers.

They however have their work cut out against Etienne Ndayiragije’s team running high on a ten-gane unbeaten streak.
