Kenya Police FC strengthens squad with 3 foreigners in mid-season window
Football Kenya Federation Premier League title holders Kenya Police FC have moved to reinforce their squad by bringing in three new players in the open mid-season transfer window.
Confirming the reinforcement on Sunday, January 4, 2026, the side has signed Hernest Briyock Malonga, Yves Koutiama and Bowamba Jacques.
”Three new signings, one shared ambition: Malonga Briyock, Yves Koutiama, and Bowamba Jacques arrive ready to bring quality, hunger, and intensity as we push forward in the race. Is the league ready for them?” The statement said.
The latest additions are expected to strengthen head coach Dusan Stojanovic’s side as the champions seek to steady their campaign and mount a strong title defence following a mixed start to the season.
Commenting on the signings, the law enforcers said the trio shares a common goal of helping the team push forward, highlighting their desire to inject fresh energy, quality and competitiveness into the squad.
Going for experience
Malonga, a Congolese national born in Brazzaville, has joined from Tanzanian top-flight outfit Coastal Union. Primarily a left back, he is also capable of operating on the wing. He began his professional journey with Tongo FC in Congo before turning out for Diables Noirs, Ihefu SC and Singida SC.

Burkina Faso forward Yves Koutiama, aged 26, makes the switch from USFA Ouagadougou. He previously featured for Sonabel, also in Burkina Faso, and is expected to bolster Police FC’s attacking options.
Fellow Congolese defender Bowamba Jacques arrives from AS Otoho. The 22-year-old centre half has experience with DR Congo giants AS Vita Club, adding depth to Police’s defensive line.
The recruits will be keen to help turn around Police FC’s recent run of form, with the champions failing to register a win in their last three outings. Police currently occupy sixth place on the standings with 22 points, trailing leaders Kakamega Homeboyz by two points, although the table toppers have played two more matches.
