Kenya Lionesses squad named ahead of Dubai 7s

Kenya Lionesses head coach Dennis Mwanja has unveiled the squad set to compete in the Dubai 7s Invitational Tournament starting this Friday.

Unfortunately, speedster Sharon Auma will be absent due to injury, having recently represented Serengeti Elephants in the Rugby 10s Championship in South Africa.

In her place, newcomer Edith Nariaka steps in, while Sheila Chajira makes a return to the squad.

The Lionesses, placed in Pool B, are set to face tough opponents such as Ireland Invitational, USA Falcons, Rhino Stompers, and French Militaire Sevens.

Their tournament journey kicks off at 5:40 pm on Friday, December 1, against Ireland Invitational. Subsequent matches include encounters with Rhino Stompers at 7:20 pm on the same day, French Militaire Sevens at 3:20 pm on Saturday, and a final pool stage match against the USA Falcons at 7:00 pm on Saturday.

The lionesses are set to depart on Wednesday, November 28, 2023.
