Technical team confident ahead

Coach Luke Makuto has been assisted by Gideon Njine during preparations. The team’s management is handled by Wachira Gatuiria, with Alfred Chedotum serving as head of delegation and Timothy Kimutai working as the physiotherapist.

Speaking after the selection, Team Manager Wachira Gatuiria expressed confidence in the squad’s readiness, noting that the players have shown resilience, determination, and strong team spirit during training.

“We are confident that these young men will represent the country with pride and showcase the great potential of Kenya’s volleyball future. The team is in high spirits and motivated to give their very best in Cairo,” he said.

The team departs for Cairo later this week, carrying the aspirations of the nation as they seek to make a mark at the continental championship.

Kenya’s U-20 men’s team will face stiff competition at the African Championship, but the final squad is confident in its preparation and ability to perform. The team aims to be competitive from the first serve and target a strong finish, building on the experience gained during domestic league and school competitions.

With the squad finalised, the focus now shifts to Cairo, where Kenya will hope to make an impact at the continental stage.
