Ken Owino rallies for continued support after Leopards snap winless streak

AFC Leopards’ lynchpin Ken Owino has rallied the club’s fans not to give up on them after Ingwe snapped an 8-game winless streak with a victory over Bidco United on Saturday, April 26, 2025.
A 3-1 success earned a much-needed win for Leopards, their first since a February victory over Mara Sugar, with Owino terming the success as a product of the hard work that has been going on behind the scenes.
“It is good that we finally got the win today. We have been pushing ourselves very hard in past games, but things have not been going according to plan,” he said.
“Scoring goals has been one of our main challenges. Today, we scored and managed to keep the game shut and got the result,” he said.
Owino, who acknowledges the need for more improvement on the part of the team’s playing unit, voiced the team’s intention to muster a turnaround of fortunes.
“We know we have to work as a team. We have not had good results lately, and we are sorry for that. But I urge them to continue coming to the games and offering us their support. We are ready and willing to put in the work,” he stated.
With the win, Fred Ambani’s side moved up to fifth with 41 points after 28 games.
