Kakamega Homeboyz set threshold higher in hunt for team’s head coach

By and , August 2, 2022

Kakamega Homeboyz FC owner and founder Cleophas Shimanyula says the team will only hire a tactician with a rich curriculum vitae.

Shimanyula stated that Homeboyz has a reputation to protect as one of the fastest rising sides in the country and as such, the team deserved to be handled by a competent tactician to keep the team’s candle aglow in the top flight league.

“We want the team to challenge for trophies in the upcoming season and that’s why we shall headhunt for a coach worth his salt. There are no two ways about it,” offered Shimanyula.

The sentiments by Homeboyz boss comes in the wake of the team’s coaching position falling vacant following the sacking of immediate former trainer Bernard Mwalala over disciplinary issues.

Homeboyz wound up the 2021/22 Football Kenyan Premier League in the second position behind Tusker with several local and expatriate coaches drooling over the coaching job.
