The Football Kenya Federation has provided an update on the attendance of Persons with Disabilities (PWDS) ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers Group F match between Harambee Stars and Seychelles at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, on Tuesday, September 9, 2025.

In a statement seen by People Daily, PWDS will have a chance to watch the Harambee Stars match with ease of movement at the match venue, Kasarani Stadium. FKF said the federation has now set aside special areas to accommodate Persons with Disabilities, starting with the Seychelles match going forward. Unlike previously, PWDS will now enjoy basic facilities typically reserved for VVIP and VIP dignitaries at the MOISCK.

”Persons with Disabilities (PWDS) are welcome to attend tomorrow’s Kenya vs Seychelles match at Kasarani, as well as future games. Designated seating is available at Sections 5 & 13 (with ramps), car access for PWDS is through Gates 6 & 12, & VIP/VVIP lifts are also accessible.” FKF said in a statement on Monday, September 8, 2025.

Hussein Mohammed rallies football fans to Kasarani

Separately, Football Kenya Federation President Hussein Mohammed has called upon football enthusiasts in the country to come out in their numbers and support the Harambee Stars as the home team on Tuesday.

In his statement on Monday, September 7, 2025, Mohammed has asked the country’s football community to stick together amid the national team’s dreams of playing at the forthcoming World Cup, which hit a snag.

Harambee Stars were beaten 3-1 by Gambia on Friday, September 5, 2025, at Kasarani Stadium, a defeat that left many football lovers in the country disappointed. Also, the Gambia’s beating officially confirmed Harambee Stars’ elimination from the World Cup campaign with three matches left to go.

Following the humiliating defeat, a section of football fans in the country expressed disappointment in the national team that had a successful African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024), threatening to boycott attending matches.  Hussein Mohammed has, however, asked the football community to keep supporting the national team regardless of the recent slip.

”In football, as in life, we must stand together through both the highs and the lows. Victories lift our spirits, but even in setbacks, we find lessons, resilience, and renewed determination. Our commitment to Harambee Stars must remain steadfast because their journey is our journey as a nation.” Hussein Mohammed said.

”In recent months, the team has united Kenyans in pride and passion, reminding us what is possible when we come together under one flag. Tomorrow’s clash against Seychelles is not only another step in the World Cup qualifiers but also our last opportunity in a while to enjoy home support.” He added. I urge all Kenyans to fill the stands, rally behind the boys, and give them the strength that only our unity can provide.”
