Harambee Stars’ Shumah and Osoro handed first league defeat in Zambia
Harambee Stars duo Moses Shumah and Emmanuel Osoro tasted their first league defeat with Power Dynamos in a 2-1 loss to Red Arrows on Saturday, October 11, 2025, in a league clash at the Arthur Davies Stadium.
Shumah and Osoro were handed a starting berth in a twin-pronged attack for the clash as the Zambian side bid to continue its fine start to the new season against the Zambian army men.
Their quest seemed on course after Jackson Mulambia stormed the visitors to a lead inside the opening quarter.
Comeback win
It was the visitors who extended their fine run against the Aba Red with a late comeback completed in the 85th minute.
The match’s proceedings took a dramatic shift in the second half after the hosts were reduced to ten men following Aaron Katebe’s dismissal for a deliberate handball just outside the box.
With momentum on their side, Arrows grabbed the leveller minutes later as Albert Kangwanda pounced on the ball to score.
The goal came moments after Kenyan international Osoro had been rested as his compatriot Shumah remained on the pitch.

The heartbreak was complete in the final five minutes when substitute Joseph Phiri threaded a clever ball to Brian Chilimina, who coolly slotted home a low finish past the keeper.
The result compounded a first league defeat for Power Dynamos’ as it pushed the Airmen to the second spot on the table with a game in hand.
CAF duty
Dynamos remained tenth on the log after five games.
The Kenyan pair now shifts focus to the CAF Champions League, where a clash against Ugandan giants Vipers awaits in the final preliminary round of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
Power Dynamos will first travel to Vipers FC’s turf during the weekend of 17 to 19 October, 2025, before hosting the second preliminary return leg a week later.
