Gor Mahia, AFC Leopards learn of their league opener opponents as FKF releases 2025 fixtures
Kenyan perennial rivals Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards are among the teams that have learned of their opening-day Football Kenyan Federation opponents following the partial release of the upcoming 2025/26 league fixtures.
According to the match schedule revealed by FKF on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, Gor Mahia will open their quest to recapture the league title at home against Bidco United on Sunday, September 21, 2025.
The clash will be staged at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, and will kick off at 4:00 pm.
On their part, AFC Leopards will get their campaign underway on Saturday, September 20, 2025, against Ezekiel Akwana’s Sofapaka.
The clash will be staged at the Nyayo National Stadium from 4:00 pm.
Double-header
The clash will be a double header that will be preceded by the 2025/26 league opener, pitting Tusker FC against KCB.
The clash featuring Charles Okere’s Brewers charges against Robert Matano’s Bankers will kick off the campaign at 1:00 pm.

Other clashes of the opening week will see Kariobangi Sharks square off against Bandari on Sunday, August 21, 2025, at the Kasarani Annex starting at 1:00 pm.
League newbies APS Bomet will be visitors to the Gusii stadium to face Shabana FC on Sunday, August 21, 2025. The clash will kick off at 2:00 pm.
Muranga Seal, who escaped relegation by a whisker, will host Ulinzi Stars on the same day at the San Sebastian Park starting at 3:00 pm.
A clash between Mathare United and Posta Rangers will conclude the round one fixtures on Monday, August 22, 2025.
The tie will be played at the Kasarani Annex starting at 4:00 pm.
Meanwhile, the reigning defending champions, Kenya Police, have not been included in the opening rounds of fixtures.
Etienne Ndajiragije’s team are Kenya’s representatives in the CAF Champions League games alongside Nairobi United, who won the FKF Cup to secure participation in the CAF Confederations Cup games for the 2025/26 season.
