Gor Mahia and AFC Leopards finally got slots in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League team of the week after crucial wins in week 19 matches.
Gor Mahia managed a crucial – though slim – victory over Tusker to open a 10-point gap ahead of the second-placed Nairobi City Stars.
Although he scored the crucial goal that downed Tusker, who have been resurgent in recent weeks, Austin Odhiambo did not get a slot in the team.
The same fate goes for Ingwe’s experienced winger, Kevin Kimani, who did not get a nomination for the team of the week.

Meanwhile, Muhoroni Youth produced the goalkeeper of the week after Larry Potter produced another clean sheet during their goalless draw against KCB.
In a 3-2-3-2 formation, Bakary Randy of AFC Leopards, Muhoroni’s Alex Onchwari, and Francis Oduor of KCB make up the defensive unit.
Bidco United’s Douglas Mokaya and Biron Otieno of Kariobangi Sharks are the deep-lying midfielders, as Gor Mahia’s left-back Geoffrey Ochieng and Sofapaka’s Darius Msagha have been deployed as advanced fullbacks in a packed-up midfield unit.
Leshan Mootian of Ulinzi Stars, who shone during their match against Shabana, has been deployed as an attacking midfielder operating behind the two attackers.
Bidco United’s Chris Opondo, who scored and assisted against FC Talanta in their 5-2 win, has been slotted in as a right centre-forward. Police’s Tito Okello, who was also on target in their 2-0 win over Nzoia Sugar, is Opondo’s partner, as he has been deployed as a left centre-forward.
