Fredrick Alushula: Fullback completes transfer to AFC Leopards

Football Kenya Federation Premier League side AFC Leopards have completed the signing of Frederick Alushula.
The fullback has been signed from Kariobangi Sharks and has agreed to a two-year deal.
“Right fullback Fredrick Alushula joins AFC Leopards from Football Kenya Premier League side Kariobangi Sharks on a two-year contract.
“Alushula, whose role models are Reece James and Kyle Walker, will wear the number 3 shirt. He has already linked up with the rest of his teammates. Everyone at AFC Leopards welcomes Fredrick Alushula to the club,” a statement from AFC Leopards read.
Confident Alushula
Alushula said he is happy to join AFC Leopards because it is a team that has quality.
“I’m happy to join AFC Leopard, and I am looking forward to winning trophies with the club. I like the team’s style of play. There’s a lot of quality in the team.
“The team has the potential of lifting the FKF-PL this season, looking at the league table. There’s also a lot of competition among my new teammates, which will make me improve as a player.
“If you do the right thing as a player, they’ll definitely be very little pressure. I strive to work hard and play well according to the technical bench’s instructions,” he said.

Alushula’s arrival comes a day after the 1998 Premier League champions completed the signing of Ssetuba James, a Ugandan goalkeeper, from Kakamega Homeboyz. Welcome to AFC Leopards, Ssetuba James.
“Ugandan goalkeeper James Ssetuba has joined AFC Leopards from Football Kenya Premier League side Kakamega Homeboys on a two-year contract.
“James Ssetuba joins the competitive department of goalkeepers of Levis Opiyo, Humphrey Katasi, and Musha. He will wear shirt number 28 and has already linked up with the rest of his teammates at our training base. Everyone at AFC Leopards welcomes James Ssetuba to the club,” AFC Leopards said then.

Ssetuba, who has played for the defunct Sony Sugar and Ihefu FC in Tanzania, says he is happy to join Ingwe.
“I am happy to have finally made this move. I feel good and relieved to join such a big and historical team. It is a privilege to be here because it is a dream for any player to get such an opportunity.”
“I love the way they support the team. They travel around with the team, and it’s a big motivation for us to do better. My target is to be a champion with the team and be the best goalkeeper in the league,” he said as per the club’s social media pages.
