FKF shares key details ahead of Kenya-Gambia World Cup Qualifier
The Football Kenya Federation has shared ticketing details ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup Qualifier pitting Kenya’s Harambe Stars and Gambia, scheduled for Friday, September 5, 2025, at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
Immediately after making their memorable debut at the 2024 African Nations Championship in Nairobi, Harambee Stars are scheduled to face the Gambian side on Friday, starting at 4:00 pm.
As the match is expected to draw thousands of passionate Kenyan fans, the national team is aiming to strengthen its presence in both continental and global elite football tournaments. Football Kenya Federation (FKF) has confirmed that tickets for the awaited encounter are already on sale through tikiti.co.ke. The pricing has been structured to accommodate fans across different categories:
VVIP Ticket – Ksh5,000
VIP Ticket – Ksh2,000
Silver Ticket – Ksh500
Ordinary Ticket – Ksh300
Supporters have been urged to purchase their tickets in advance since no tickets will be sold at the venue on match day, in compliance with CAF and FIFA regulations.
Kenya is competing in Group F of the FIFA World Cup African qualifiers and currently sits fourth with six points from one win, three draws, and two losses in six games. Ivory Coast leads the group with 16 points, followed by Gabon with 15 points in second place and Burundi third with 10 points. Gambia has four points, while Seychelles has no points.
Meanwhile, Harambee Stars coach Benni McCarthy has announced his final squad for two pivotal World Cup qualifier matches against The Gambia and Seychelles. Harambee Stars are preparing for these crucial home fixtures as they aim to secure qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The squad boasts a blend of local and international-based players. Job Ochieng gets his first call-up to the senior side. Additionally, 13 players from the recent historic CHAN campaign make the squad.
Kenya will host The Gambia on Friday, September 5, 2025, followed by a clash with Seychelles on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Both matches are set to kick off at 4:00 pm at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
