Saturday fixtures
At the coast, struggling Bandari FC will host one of the title contenders, Kakamega Homeboyz, at Mbaraki Grounds in a 3:00 pm kickoff. The Dockers will be banking on home advantage as they seek to collect maximum points and secure a place in the league rankings, while Homeboyz travel to Mombasa aiming to spoil the party and cement their top-four status in their league campaign.

In Nairobi, the 2008 Kenyan Premier League winners, Mathare United, will face Murang’a Seal at the Kasarani Annex, also starting at 3:00 pm. The clash presents a crucial opportunity for both sides to improve their standings, with Mathare United looking to capitalise on familiar surroundings as Murang’a Seal chase a positive result on the road. It will be exciting to see Murang’a Seal head coach Osborne Monday face his former employers in a match that promises fireworks in the capital.
Meanwhile, in Kericho, newbies APS Bomet will take on Mara Sugar at the Kericho Green Stadium in another 3:00 pm encounter. The fixture promises a competitive battle as both teams push for consistency and valuable league points.
Police, KCB fire blanks
On Friday, January 9, 2026, KCB FC held defending champions Kenya Police FC to a goalless draw in their Game Week 16 encounter at Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, a match defined by contrasting approaches and disciplined defending rather than goals.

The bankers, coached by Robert Matano, took control of the game in terms of possession, enjoying 57 per cent of the ball compared to Police FC’s 43 per cent. KCB also built patiently from the back, attempting 329 passes during the match, though their pass accuracy stood at 79 per cent. Police FC, on the other hand, were more economical in possession, completing 249 passes at an impressive 93 per cent accuracy.
Despite seeing less of the ball, Police FC were the more aggressive side in attack. The law enforcers recorded 20 shot attempts, significantly more than KCB’s 13, and posted a superior shot accuracy of 35 per cent. KCB struggled to trouble the opposition goalkeeper consistently, managing a shot accuracy of just 15 per cent.
