Action-packed weekend as FKF Premier League continues with Round 17 fixtures

The 2025/26 Football Kenya Federation Premier League action continues from Friday, January 16, 2026, all the way to Tuesday, January 20, 2026, with Round 17 fixtures spread across the country.

Mathare face Ulinzi

The action gets underway on Friday, January 16, 2026 when 2008 winners Mathare United host Ulinzi Stars at Kasarani Stadium in a 4:00 pm kick-off. Mathare United are placed 13th on the log with 18 points, a point above Ulinzi Stars, who are placed 14th.

Saturday, January 17, 2026, features three matches, beginning with Shabana FC welcoming Sofapaka at Gusii Stadium at 2:00 pm. Later in the afternoon, Tusker FC will take on Bandari FC at SportPesa Arena from 3:00 pm, before in-form AFC Leopards entertain APS Bomet at Nyayo Stadium at 4:00 pm.

On Sunday, January 18, 2026, league action continues with Murang’a Seal facing Bidco United at SportPesa Arena at 3:00 pm. At the same time, KK Homeboyz will clash with Kariobangi Sharks at Bukhungu Stadium. The day will conclude with a heavyweight encounter at Nyayo Stadium, where record giants Gor Mahia square off against Mara Sugar in a 4:00 pm fixture.

The round rolls into Monday, January 19, 2026, with Kenya Police FC hosting Nairobi United at Police Sacco Stadium at 4:00 pm.
The final match of the round will be played on Tuesday, January 20, 2026, as Posta Rangers lock horns with KCB FC at Kasarani Annex, starting at 3:00 pm.

With the season entering a decisive phase, teams will be eager to strengthen their positions on the table, avoid relegation danger, or mount title challenges. Fans can expect intense competition, tactical battles, and high-stakes football as Round 17 unfolds across the country.

Ahead of the fixtures, Gor Mahia lead the pack with 30 points out of 15 matches. The 1998 champions, AFC Leopards, come in closely on second, hot on the heels of Gor Mahia with 30 points as well, but with a weaker goal difference.

Kakamega Homeboyz come in third with 24 points in 16 outings, tied on points with Shabana FC. Defending champions Kenya Police FC occupy position with 24 points in 15 matches.

Bottom of the table are Kariobangi Sharks with 13 points in 16 matches, 2009 champions Sofapaka FC are placed 17th with 14 points in 16 outings, while APS Bomet are position 16 with 14 points in 15 matches.
