Ministry of Education releases 2024 schools’ calendar for co-curricular activities

The Ministry of Education has unveiled the calendar for the 2024 Schools’ co-curricular activities spanning the entire year.
In the first term, the Eastern Region is designated to host secondary school games from April 6-14, 2023, in Machakos County.
KSSSA Term one games
The event will feature Rugby 15s, Athletics, Basketball 5*5, Hockey, Handball, and swimming. Additionally, the region will host junior school athletics, cross-country, handball, basketball, and swimming during the same period.
Simultaneously, Rift Valley’s Nakuru County will host both secondary and special school sports. Primary Schools Athletics will be held in the Central Region, specifically in Nyeri County, from April 6-12.
Drama Festivals are scheduled for Embu, where Embu University and Kangaru School will host the festivals. The Science and Engineering Fare is set for Nairobi County from April 6-12, taking place at Moi Girls’ School.
Moving to June 3-13, Kenya Training Colleges will conduct their ball games, goal ball, and Paralympics events at Machakos TTC.
KSSSA term II
The second term will witness secondary school games taking place in Kisii County from July 29 to August 7. Football, Volleyball, Rugby 7s, Badminton, and Table Tennis are among the sports scheduled for this period.
The region will also host junior school ball games, while Kisumu will be the venue for term II special schools games.
Concluding the calendar, primary school ball games are set to transpire in Kakamega from July 30 to August 7.
