Tell us a bit about your organization: Youth For Ruto is a nationwide organization and we as Nyamira youths are now part of this organization by
starting the Nyamira edition.The Nyamira edition is one month old now and already has 30 loyal,passionate
and hardworking members coming from the four constituencies of North Mugirango,West Mugirango,Borabu
and Kitutu Masaba.These members will soon be getting loyal followers of the Deputy President from their
wards who we will be helping eachother in transversing the county to preach the true gospel of Hustler
nation.

What and when can you say you were inspired to get into politics?

The love and the admiration we have for the Deputy President’s leadership from this county pushed us to
start this edition.The youth’s love for the Deputy President has not been appreciated,it is the more reason
we had to come up with this edition.He needs to know that Nyamira Youth are very much ready to walk
with him in this journey to the very end.We will use this organization to expressly show our commitment and
fidelity and to also propagate the Hustler for Hustler narrative.

What are some of the challenges you have faced so far?

This Nyamira County edition has begun from scratch.Getting individuals with the right mentality which
embodies selflessness,sacrifice and commitment is not as easy as one could ever imagine.Individuals have to
be subjected to the right mentality to get members who will give their all as it pertains to this
course.
Another challenge that I have to appreciate is lack of finance.For us to run thi sedition perfectly,we
need to use money so that we can run the activities of the organization efficiently.Nyamira youth already
are aware of this organization and they are waiting to see what we will first do to convince them that
the Deputy President is the right choice for all youths.

What can you say is the purpose and goal of your organization?

As an organization operating within the Nyamira microcosm,we are hoping and we will channel all our energy
towards making sure that the Hustler Narrative has penetrated in the region.Not only that but also that
the Deputy president‘s bid to be president is accepted and embraced by not only the youth but also the
wazees,mama mbogas and every other person.We will be working in close partnership with the Hustler
party,the UDA,we will be mobilizing youth to register their names to this party since it seems it will be the
Deputy President‘s political parachute.We are ready to stick to the course of making sure that this dream
to be president materializes.Under the stewardship of the Chair Chris Mokua and the coordinator Migosi
Michael,the purpose for this organization will be fulfilled.

What message do you have for those who say that Nyamira is a Raila stronghold?

I think we need to debunk that Nyamira county is a Raila stronghold.If statistics serve me
right,the presidential outcome in 2017,provisional results released by the IEBC put ahead president Kenyatta by 54.2% compared to Raila’s 44.95%.Dp Ruto was in Jubilee which carried the day then.Therefore
the assertion that Nyamira is a Raila stronghold is misplaced.If it is a Raila stronghold,then we are here to
dismantle his ‘popularity’ and make our candidate validated by the people.Moreover,Kenya is a consititutional
democracy and therefore every citizen has a right to subscribe to any political party and further its
agenda in any place.

Are there any youth in your organization who are running for a seat?

Yes, we have some youth in our organization who will be contesting.We would like youth to be involved
in making political decisions,for a very longtime youth have been pushed to the peripheryl when it comes
to decisionmaking.Infact I dare say,any oldman who is going to vie against youth in Nyamira should
brace himself for a bruising defeat.

What message do you have for those who look upto you?

Keep the faith and believe in yourself,there is nothing that comes on a silver platter.There is no
shortcut in politics,hard work is a gem in politics.

What message do you have for your followers?

The message remains and is homogenous from top to bottom;‘Hustlernation,Hustler for Hustler.There
aren’t any seats reserved for anyone from a specific quarter,even the poorest of the poorest can still
lead the nation and make important decisions.

Whose leadership style do you love the most and why?

The name of the organizations
speaks for itself. We are Youth For Ruto because we admire the leadershipof His Excellency the Deputy President William Ruto.William Ruto is a typical example of Thomas
Sankara,Nelson Mandela andKarl Max all folded into one,however a modern version.His readiness to make
sacrifice for the sake of the people is unmatched,his determination is out of this world.He remains to be the
beacon of hope for the hopeless Hustlers and an icon of inspiration to all of us.
