What awaits Miguna Miguna at JKIA Tuesday
Exiled lawyer Miguna Miguna is tomorrow headed for another possible confrontation with Immigration officials in his third attempt to return nearly two years after he was deported to Canada.
It is not clear which passport the outspoken politician will use because the Immigration Department is yet to reinstate his Kenyan travel documents.
But things could be different this time round after President Uhuru Kenyatta hinted the former candidate for Nairobi governor seat was free to return.
Speaking in Kandara, Murang’a during the funeral of democracy hero Charles Rubia last week, Uhuru said no one has been denied freedom of expression.
“I have heard that some people are planning to fly into the country. Let them come but they should use their freedom to spread peace and help fight corruption,” he said.
Miguna, who yesterday posted photos of himself at a Canadian airport en route to Kenya, is expected to land at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport at 9pm.
