Uhuru mourns Wachira Waruru’s brother Kanja Waruru

Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday, January 31, 2025, attended the memorial service of Royal Media Services Group Managing Director Wachira Waruru’s brother, Kanja Waruru.
According to a statement by the Office of the Fourth President of Kenya, Uhuru expressed deep sadness over Kanja’s death and urged the grieving family to find strength in their faith, in happy memories, and in the support of people around them as they go through this difficult moment.
“Former President Uhuru Kenyatta joined the family, friends, and relatives of the late Kanja Waruru at a memorial service at Ridgeways Baptist Church,” the statement read in part.
“In his message, Kenyatta expressed deep sadness over Kanja’s death and urged the grieving family to find strength in their faith, in happy memories, and in the support of people around them as they go through this difficult moment.”
Kanja Waruru was the son of former Cabinet Minister Waruru Kanja.
He died in India on Friday, January 24, 2025, while undergoing treatment.
The 69-year-old businessman will be laid to rest on Saturday, February 1, 2025, at his family home in Chaka near Chaka Trading Centre, Kieni East.
