KAA expected to provide crucial documents
The Kenya Airports Authority (KAA) officials are expected to provide key documents for a parliamentary audit of the controversial Adani deal.
On Wednesday, September 26, 2024, during the session at Parliament Buildings with the Public Investments Committee on Commercial Affairs and Energy, KAA officials were unable to produce three critical documents detailing the negotiation and agreement processes related to the deal.
This lack of documentation followed a prior request from the Committee for all relevant materials concerning the Adani agreement.
The Chairperson of the Committee David Pkosing (Pokot West MP), expressed frustration over the absence of these key documents, emphasizing their importance for transparency and accountability.
He therefore directed the KAA officials to present the documents before the close of business on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
