President William Ruto has vowed to form an all-inclusive government after dissolving his cabinet.

The president disbanded his cabinet and only maintained Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi, following public pressure, and Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua, whose position is protected by the constitution.

Eyes are now on him as to how he will compose the next cabinet, and while speaking at Kaptagat on Saturday, July 13, 2024, he promised to form a government with a national outlook.

Ya pili ni ku expand the programmes that we have so that we can drive the transformation of our country together,” Ruto said.

With speculation rife that Ruto could bring in members from outside his own political circle, he has made it clear that he will dialogue with other leaders before composing his next cabinet.

“I must say this clearly and loudly: it is a moment in history as a nation that we must come together because the transformation of Kenya cannot wait or be shortchanged. We must work together as a people kwa sababu the success of Kenya is our collective success.

Kwa sababu nyinyi ndio kusema, mimi nitapanga hio maneno,” he promised.

Graft war

The Head of State also vowed to launch a fight against corruption, as he believes the vice hinders the transformation of the country.

Tunataka kukomesha ufisadi na kuhakikisha wafisadi wote tunawakomesha na kuwasafirisha. Ndio tuhakikishe kwamba Kenya inapiga hatua ya kwenda mbele,” he continued.

As more protests are planned against his government, President Ruto asked Kenyans to be cautious not to be incited and destroy the country.

We have only one country called Kenya without a spare nation.

We must protect this nation, all of us, and therefore I want to ask all Kenyans that we work together,” he concluded.
