By Mabonga Makhanu, October 9, 2025Kathiani MP and Wiper Party National Organising Secretary Robert Mbui has outlined the key agendas to be deliberated during the party’s National Delegates Conference scheduled for Friday, October 10, 2025.
Speaking after inspecting the venue on Thursday, October 9, 2025, the MP stated that members of the Wiper Democratic Movement are likely to leave the conference as a transformed party.
He added that the meeting aims to review the party’s constitution, discuss the proposed change of the party’s name, and prepare for the 2027 general elections.
“But we are here to inspect the preparations for our National Delegates’ Congress, which will be held here tomorrow. It coincides with the public holiday. “Of course, we are inviting all members of this party to be with us tomorrow so that we can be able to chat about the way forward for our party in these turbulent political times in this country,” Mbui stated.

He emphasised that the NDC provides a rare opportunity for delegates drawn from all corners of the country to engage and share their views on the party’s direction.
The MP also noted that the conference comes at a critical time when the political landscape is rapidly shifting, making it necessary to chart a new course for the party ahead of 2027.

He further mentioned that the party has already embarked on mobilisation tours across Machakos and Kitui counties alongside the party leader and other opposition principals, urging citizens to register as voters.
He reiterated that voter registration remains the most powerful tool for Kenyans to express their will and influence change in governance.
“Our agenda basically is to meet with our delegates, and you know, we have delegates drawn from all corners of the country, and it is not often that we get together; once in every five years we normally do this, but we decided that we will not wait up to 2027 because there are very, very important matters that we need to address. Matters concerning our party constitution, the proposed change of our party name.”
