Police raid Kasarani and arrest 2 women linked to drug trafficking

In a statement by the National Police Service on Saturday, June 13, 2026, the officers confirmed the arrest, which targeted known distribution hubs in Marurui Shopping Area.
“National Police Service officers in Kasarani Sub-County have dealt a major blow to the local illicit drug and contraband supply chain following a successful raid in the Marurui area,” NPS stated.
According to the police report, the operation, which resulted in the arrest of the two persons of interest, also led to the recovery of a large quantity of narcotics, illicit brew, and packaging materials.
“Acting on intelligence, a team from Njathaini Police Station targeted known distribution hubs in Marurui Shopping Area. The operation resulted in the arrest of two suspects and the recovery of a large quantity of narcotics, illicit brew, and packaging materials,” NPS announced.
Seized items
In a report by the officers, the two were found in possession of 1,195 processed rolls and 2,001 grams of unprocessed bhang, 40 litres of illicit brew, and accessories used for weighing and packaging the drugs.
The National Police Service has further confirmed that the two women are in police custody awaiting arraignment in court.
“The suspects, who are in police custody awaiting arraignment in court, were found in possession of 1,195 processed rolls and 2,001 grams of unprocessed bhang, 40 litres of illicit brew, and accessories used for weighing and packaging the drugs,” NPS stated.
