Here is what you need to know in order to get up to speed with today’s happenings.

Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security

The Departmental Committee on Administration and National Security will today hold a meeting at the Main Parliament Buildings.

The meeting set to begin at 12.30 pm will be graced by Interior Cabinet Secretary (CS) Kithure Kindiki.

The purpose of the meeting is to brief the committee on matters such as the deployment of Kenya police officers to Haiti, the promotion of police officers, the submission of the National Government Co-ordination Amendment Bill, 2023 and to give feedback regarding the disappearance of two individuals in Bura constituency as requested by MP Yakub Adan.

Diaspora Affairs and Migrant Committee

The Diaspora Affairs and Migrant Workers Committee will jointly sit with the Departmental Committee on Labour today.

During the meeting, the committee will discuss the consideration of the sessional paper No. 5 of 2023 on the National Policy on Labour Migration.

The joint sitting will be held at the Mini Chamber, County Hall from 12 noon.

Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning

The Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning is today expected to hold a meeting at the Eka Hotel, Mombasa Road.

The purpose of the meeting set to begin at 9 am is to discuss public hearings on the National Tax Policy.
