Mathare United head coach John Kamau has warned AFC Leopards that the Eastlands side is ready to fight for a win and return to winning ways in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League.

The Slum Boys were defeated 1-0 by Kakamega Homeboyz in their last game, and Kamau is keen to avoid another loss during the Wednesday, May 14, 2025, game against Ingwe at Dandora Stadium.

“This is a good headache for us. Games are coming in thick and fast as we draw closer to the end of the season.

“We have a stern test against AFC Leopards, which I view as a golden chance to rectify Saturday’s defeat and return to winning ways,” Kamau told a local publication.

In their next games against Ulinzi Stars, Bandari FC, and Nairobi City Stars, Kamau has revealed that they are targeting to register two wins.

“We are targeting at least six points from our remaining four matches. I believe two wins will be enough to guarantee our safety and allow us to shift focus towards building for a stronger campaign next season,” he added.

Meanwhile, Wednesday games will see Ulinzi Stars clash with Posta Rangers in Lang’ata, as FC Talanta battles Tusker in an early kickoff in Dandora.

At Gusii Stadium, Shabana will host Bidco United, while Kakamega Homeboyz will be at home at Mumias Sports Complex for a match against Kenya Police.

Mara Sugar will host Bandari at Awendo Green Stadium, whereas Murang’a Seal will face off with Sofapaka in Murang’a.
