Kioni: Uhuru expected to outline Jubilee’s 2027 roadmap during party NDC
Jubilee Secretary General Jeremiah Kioni has revealed that former President Uhuru Kenyatta will be giving the party direction as it prepares for the 2027 elections during its National Delegates Conference (NDC).
While appearing on a local radio station on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, Kioni stated that the NDC, slated for Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Ngong Racecourse, will reaffirm that the party is fully in the opposition and not sitting on the fence.

“He will also be able to reaffirm that we use jubilee leadership and every one of us is in the opposition so that people stop double-guessing us.”
He went on to say that the NDC will also assure the country that the party is fully functional while urging aspirants interested in various seats to register with Jubilee, emphasising that the party is open to all.
“And that is why we are having our NDC next week, so that we can tell Kenyan followers of Jubilee that while we were in the campaigns, Ruto must go. We were also struggling in the courts to ensure that the party was not stolen from us. We are now through with those court battles,” he added.
Uhuru giving jubilee direction
Kioni further noted that party leader Uhuru Kenyatta is expected to speak and provide guidance after maintaining a low profile for a long time.
He added that Uhuru will outline how he wants the party to conduct itself as it heads toward 2027, especially after Jubilee’s recent success in overcoming several court battles.
“Our party leader will be the one talking to us. He has not talked to us for that long because of that case. We would want him to tell us what he thinks and what he intends us to do for the party. How does he want us to behave while heading to 2027?” Kioni said
