Strong winds expected
The North Western region, particularly Turkana and Samburu counties, will experience partly cloudy conditions tonight, followed by sunny intervals throughout the day tomorrow.
Strong southerly winds above 25 knots (12.5 m/s) are expected over Turkana County, signalling potentially challenging conditions for outdoor activities and travel.
In the North Eastern counties of Marsabit, Garissa, Mandera, Wajir, and Isiolo, partly cloudy conditions are expected.
“Sunny intervals will dominate tomorrow. Marsabit and Mandera will experience strong southerly winds above 25 knots, with parts of Marsabit also expecting strong southeasterly winds of a similar intensity.”
Regions to remain sunny
The South Eastern Lowlands, including Machakos, Makueni, Kitui, Tana River, and Kajiado, will see showers over a few places tonight. Sunny intervals are expected on Saturday morning, with another chance of rains and isolated afternoon showers.
Along the Coast, Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, and Tana River, partly cloudy conditions are expected tonight, with sunny intervals prevailing throughout tomorrow.
“Partly cloudy conditions are expected tonight. Sunny intervals are expected to prevail the entire day tomorrow.”
Residents, especially those in regions expecting strong winds and afternoon rainfall, are advised to remain alert to localised weather updates.
