Kenya Met issues weather advisory for Saturday, November 22
The Kenya Meteorological Department has issued the latest national weather update, forecasting mostly sunny intervals across the country from Friday night through Saturday, November 22, 2025.
While the better part of the country will enjoy fair conditions, a few regions are expected to experience scattered rainfall and thunderstorms.
According to the advisory issued on Friday, November 21, 2025, the weatherman forecasted windy conditions in the northern counties, especially over Marsabit and Turkana, where strong southeasterly winds exceeding 25 knots (12.5m/s) are expected.
Regional breakdown
Highlands West of the Rift Valley, Lake Victoria Basin and Rift Valley.

Counties such as Kakamega, Vihiga, Busia, Kisumu, Bungoma, Siaya, Kericho, Eldoret (Uasin Gishu), Nakuru and Bomet will experience partly cloudy conditions on Friday night, followed by sunny intervals on Saturday morning.
However, residents should remain alert, as showers and thunderstorms are likely in a few areas during the afternoon.
Highlands East of the Rift Valley
Nyeri, Murang’a, Kiambu, Nairobi, Embu, Meru, and surrounding counties will also see partly cloudy skies at night. Saturday is expected to remain predominantly sunny throughout the day, offering favourable conditions for outdoor activities.
Turkana and Samburu
This region is expected to remain sunny for most of the forecast period. However, strong winds are likely to persist, particularly over Turkana.
North Eastern counties
Marsabit, Garissa, Wajir, Mandera, and Isiolo will experience similar windy and sunny weather patterns. Partly cloudy conditions were expected on Friday night, giving way to sunshine throughout the day on Saturday.
South Eastern lowlands

Machakos, Kitui, Makueni, Kajiado, and Taita Taveta will experience a mix of partly cloudy conditions and showers tonight in isolated areas on Saturday. Sunny intervals are forecast in the morning, before a chance of showers returns over select areas later in the day.
Coastal strip
Kwale, Mombasa, Kilifi, Lamu, and Tana River counties can expect a partly cloudy night and scattered showers in some locations. Saturday morning is set to remain bright along the coast, followed by possible afternoon showers.
General outlook
With rainfall expected only in a few localised areas, many Kenyans can plan for generally warm and sunny weather.
