Kenya is my second home, says Etana
Jamaican dancehall and reggae superstar Etana will jet into the country on Wednesday ahead of her concert dubbed ‘Pamoja’ in Nairobi next Saturday.
Organised by The Kulture, the concert will feature local acts such as Wyre, Gravitti Band, and deejays led by Double Trouble, Mash Kenya, Kiss Darlin, Moh, and Vybrant, and MC Phillipo among others.
“We are super excited to bring Etana to Kenya after a long hiatus in the entertainment industry due to Covid-19.
With all the Health ministry guidelines in place, the health and security of the fans will be well taken care of.
Ahead of her anticipated performance, Etana will do club appearances and hold a meet and greet party in Nairobi,” the organisers revealed.
Speaking about her return to Kenya, Etana says, “I am so ready for Nairobi and can’t wait to see you all. Kenya is my second home and am glad to be coming home to see my people.”
In June, she released her album Pamoja that features various artistes from Africa including Kenya’s Wyre, Naiboi and Michael Bundi, Mandy (Tanzania), Wezi (Zambia) and Ghana’s Stonebwoy.
The album also features her cover version of Fadhili Williams classic song Malaika.
