Kasmuel McOure affirms support for Oburu Oginga, vows to advance 10-Point Agenda
By Cy Muganda, January 24, 2026Youth activist Kasmuel McOure has declared support for Oburu Oginga’s leadership of ODM, pledging to champion the implementation of the government’s 10-Point Agenda and ensure the youth voice is represented in national decision-making.
In a statement posted on his X account on Friday, January 23, 2026, following a meeting of ODM Young Delegates in Nairobi, McOure said youth leaders have unanimously resolved to defend Oburu’s mandate at the upcoming National Delegates’ Convention.
“Today in Nairobi, ODM Young Delegates met and adopted clear, unanimous resolutions. We reaffirm our confidence in the leadership of Dr. Oburu Oginga and our readiness to defend this mandate at the National Delegates’ Convention,” McOure stated.
Commitment to broad-based government
The activist, who rose to prominence during the 2024 Gen Z-led protests against the government, emphasised young leaders’ commitment to the stability and success of the broad-based government.
“As young leaders who have played a role in shaping the Broad-Based Government, we remain committed to its stability, success, and accountability to the Kenyan people,” he said.
McOure announced plans to engage youth across counties and partner political formations to ensure youth representation with integrity and purpose.
“Going forward, we will engage youth across counties and partner political formations to ensure the youth voice is represented with integrity, purpose, and a shared commitment to delivery,” the activist stated.

According to McOure, the primary focus of the youth wing remains full implementation of the 10-Point Agenda in the national interest.
“Our focus remains the full implementation of the 10-Point Agenda in the national interest. Broad-Based Youth. Tekeleza 10-Point Agenda,” he said.
10-Point Agenda progress update
McOure’s statement comes days after President William Ruto received a briefing and progress update from the Committee on the Implementation of the Ten-Point Agenda and the National Dialogue Committee Report (NADCO) at State House, Nairobi.
In a statement posted on his X account on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, following a meeting at State House, Nairobi, the head of state reaffirmed government support for reforms aimed at strengthening democracy and restoring trust in public institutions.
“We are supporting the Committee on the Implementation of the Ten-Point Agenda and the National Dialogue Committee Report (COIN-10) to fully deliver on its mandate,” the President said.

“This process is designed to unite Kenyans through inclusive national dialogue and restore trust in public institutions by fostering transparency and accountability,” he added.
