The Bungoma County Government yesterday received a consignment of drugs from the Kenya Medical Supplies Agency (Kemsa) worth Sh4.3 million.

This was in addition to last week’s consignment worth Sh38 million which was supplied to over 100 health facilities in the county.

Speaking at Bungoma County Referral Hospital after receiving the medicine, Health County Executive Committee member Dr Andrew Wamalwa warned heads of the receiving health facilities against the misuse of medicine in their custody.

“This medicine is meant to help our patients. Let it not be diverted to private health facilities. Those found engaging in such backward activities will face disciplinary measures,” he warned.
