Hospital to upgrade after building ends

Emuhaya sub-county hospital is set to be upgraded to Level Four once the construction of 90 additional bed wards is complete.

Vihiga Governor Wilber Ottichilo while inspecting the progress of construction of the 90 beds wards at the facility said his administration is already working on the budget of fully equipping the facility to level four to enable residents access a variety of medical services.

Ottichilo said already the facility is offering a variety of health services. Vihiga governor Dr Ottichilo said the facility will ease congestion of patients at Vihiga County Referral hospital located at Mbale town.

Ottichilo said there will be no need of people from Vihiga travelling outside the county to seek medical services because all services will be provided in the facility.
