Tusker FC defender Isaac Kipyegon and former Nairobi City Stars midfielder Michael Madoya are among 15 players suspended by Football Kenya Federation (FKF) over match-fixing claims.

The highly-rated pair alongside five Division One players of Zoo FC and three National Super League side Silibwet Leons FC players were put on provisional suspension even as a probe into the allegations got underway.

In a letter seen by People Sport, the FKF Chief Executive Officer Barry Otieno has also listed Congolese national and former Shabana FC attacker Du Monde Selenga Mangili who is currently Kericho FC head coach.

In his correspondence to clubs, Otieno warned all members to desist from any contact with the blacklisted individuals during their suspension period.

Fifa and FKF Integrity Department are currently engaging in the matter with a view of getting to the bottom of it.

FKF said it received confidential reports earlier alleging the involvement of various players and officials in match-fixing activities.

“To protect the integrity of the league, in line with the Federation’s zero-tolerance policy on match-fixing, it has with immediate effect provisionally suspended accused individuals pending the investigations of the matter by FIFA and FKF integrity department,” read part of the letter.
