Burial arrangements
On the other hand, a committee overseeing the funeral arrangements of the late Ol Kalou Member of Parliament, David Kiaraho, has announced that he will be laid to rest on Friday, April 10, 2026.
According to the funeral planning committee chairperson Kwenya Thuku, the burial will take place at the late legislator’s farm in Tigoni, in line with his final wishes.
Speaking on Monday 30, March 2026, after the committee’s second meeting held at the late MP’s residence in Runda, Nairobi, Thuku said the decision honours Kiaraho’s personal request.
“Our departed brother will be laid to rest in his farm in Tigoni. He often retreated there to relax, reflect, and unwind, and it is where he expressed his wish to be buried,” Thuku said.
The committee announced that a church service will be held in Ol Kalou on Tuesday, April 7, giving constituents an opportunity to pay their last respects.
Another service will also be conducted at St. Andrew’s Church.
The late Kiaraho was serving his third term as the MP for Ol Kalou Constituency, having first been elected to the National Assembly in the 2013 general election.
During his tenure, he served as a member of the Departmental Committee on Transport and Infrastructure as well as the Procedure and House Rules Committee.
Reports indicated that the legislator passed away while undergoing medical care, although details surrounding his illness were not immediately disclosed.
