By , October 19, 2022

Cabinet Secretary (CS) nominee for the Environment and Forestry Roselinda Soipan Tuya has disclosed that she is worth Ksh156 million.

Speaking when she faced the National Assembly Committee on appointments on Wednesday, October 19, 2022, Soipan said that most of her wealth comes from immovable assets such as motor vehicles.

“I have three homes, one in Nairobi, Narok and my village. I have apartments in Narok and one in Nairobi. Two plots of land in Kitengela and also a dairy business,” she said.

The Environment CS nominee further noted that shares from the parliamentary cooperative society make up part of her net worth.

Least wealthy CS nominee

Soipan’s Ksh156 million net worth ranks her among the least wealthy Cabinet nominees vetted so far. The nominee for the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi is the richest by far with a Ksh4 billion net worth.

CS nominee for Public Service, Gender and Affirmative Action Aisha Jumwa is currently the ‘poorest’ Cabinet nominee with a Ksh100 million net worth.
