Kenya, on Sunday, December 15, 2024, won in the women’s netball game at the ongoing 14th edition of the East African Community (EAC) Inter-Parliamentary Games at Aga Khan Academy Stadium in Mombasa as it enters day nine.

The team captained by Vihiga Women Rep Beatrice Adagala proved formidable with its resounding 40-11 victory over the Burundian MPs.

“Kenya Women Netball Team co-captained by Sen. Beth Syengo and Hon. Beatrice Adagala (Vihiga) breaks into an isukuti dance after thrashing Burundi 40-11 in the ongoing 14th Edition of the EAC Inter-Parliamentary Games at Aga Khan Academy Stadium in Mombasa,” the Senate of Kenya stated via its X official account.

This win comes after Team Kenya on Monday evening, December 9, 2024, lost to Tanzania in a women’s netball match.

“There is a lot of improvement as compared to the past years when we could be scored on more than 70 goals against none,” Kenyan team captain Beatrice Adagala, the Vihiga County Women Representative, remarked after the match.

The Parliament of Kenya men’s volleyball team also lost to their Tanzania counterparts, 1-3 sets after a gruelling duel on Monday evening.

Despite Kenya’s strong display of teamwork and powerful serves, Tanzania’s strategic play and precise attacks proved decisive.

Kenya fought hard to turn the tide in the subsequent set, but Tanzania’s consistent scoring and strong defensive efforts ultimately secured their victory.

Kenya women’s team
