Drivers told to report bribery
The National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) has denied claims of bribery in the tests given to drivers before their licenses are renewed.
In a statement, the transport regulatory body urged any driver who has fallen victim of the alleged bribery cartel to report the same to the relevant authorities for action.
“The Authority has in place an independent Investigations Department headed by officers from the DCI. Additionally, like all other government agencies, we have an Integrity Committee that is responsible for receiving, assessing, investigating and reporting such allegations to the EACC,” a statement from NTSA head of communication Dido Guyatu read.
It added; “We urge aggrieved persons to reach out through [email protected] or [email protected]. The Authority does not accept cash payments. All service payments are processed through the e-Citizen Platform upon generation of a system invoice.”
