Police in Mombasa are investigating an incident where unknown people broke into the Nyali National Government Constituency Development Fund offices on Sunday night and disappeared with some items.

According to Nyali sub-county police commander Daniel Mumasaba, two men sneaked into the offices by jumping over the library wall.

“We trust it’s a normal theft because what was stolen was a TV set,” he said. “We believe the perpetrators are people who know the office of the MP very well,” added Mumasaba. 

“We want to go into every detail of this matter. We know it may take political direction but we must unravel the truth,” he said.

From the CCTV footage, a man is seen entering the compound by jumping over the fence before entering into the main building by breaking into the main entrance.
