Three men were yesterday charged at Milimani law courts for allegedly conspiring to defraud Sh4.2 million.

Francis Kihara, James Thenya and Dennis Kamanja were charged that on unknown dates in May 2022 at Eastleigh, Nairobi county, they conspired to defraud one Abukar Abdiraham Nur of the stated amount pretending to supply him with sandalwood oil.

The three who appeared before Senior Chief Magistrate Robinson Ondieki faced two counts of conspiracy to defraud and obtain money by false pretence.

They pleaded not guilty for both counts.

They further asked the court for lenient bond terms while also requesting to be provided with witness statements.

They were slapped with a Sh1 million bond or a Sh500,000 cash bail each which they could not raise immediately and were therefore detained at the Industrial Area prison.
