Coronavirus: Group sneaks from Nairobi disguised as mourners, one later tests positive

Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe on April 18 condemned a group of people who sneaked from Nairobi to Homa Bay with an empty coffin disguised as mourners.

The group was pretending to be mourners attending a funeral in Homabay.

CS Kagwe said the group was arrested and immediately put on quarantine.

Upon testing, the driver of the vehicle tested positive for coronavirus.

“This person has now taken the disease to Homa Bay,” said Kagwe.

The State on April 6 put restrictions prohibiting movement of people to and from four counties namely; Nairobi, Kilifi, Kwale and Mombasa in designated boundaries.
