Cecilia Mwangi feted for girl-child mentorship, opens pet shop

Former Miss World Kenya 2005 Cecilia Mwangi is pleased to be honoured as a girl-child mentor.
She has been feted by the Amani Empowerment Foundation for her role in women empowerment through beauty pageantry and telent promotion.
This will be during the International Day of the Girl Child celebrations in Nyeri.
“Women in business, entertainment and everything in between recognise the importance of lifting each other up. Through my talent and compassion, I love inspiring young women to reach greater heights in disregard to one’s background. They have the power to shape their future,” she told Spice.
Also, out of her love for pets, Cecilia has set up a pet shop called Pet Pawfection in Valley Arcade, Nairobi. She says: “It’s all about pets; from food to accessories and grooming.
I was inspired by the demand and desire for quality pet accessories and food at a fair price. I’ve travelled far and wide and seen so many items for pets that we don’t find locally.
And if you do it’s ridiculously pricey. I want to disrupt the pet world in Kenya.”
