Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi left the crowd in a frenzy on Sunday, August 3, 2025, after publicly introducing his family during a women’s empowerment programme held in Saboti.

The second-term lawmaker, who has largely kept his personal life private, took time during his address to present his wife and six children to the public.

Amisi called each of his children by name, starting with Asha Amisi, followed by Astride Amisi and the eldest, Tatriana Amisi.

Mmeona Amisi family wanatosha hawatoshi waongee wasiongee; huyu wa Kwanza anaitwa Asha Amisi, huyu anafwata anaitwa Astride Amisi, na huyo mkubwa anaitwa Tatriana Amisi,” Amisi said.

The MP spoke about the realities of raising a large family while at the same time serving his constituents, capturing the attention of the crowd.

Sasa hawa watoto wale wanasema ati Caleb Aende Nyumbani, hawa watoto nitlisha na nini, sasa Angalia hawa watoto wadogo ati wanataka kupiga kura niende nyumbani alafu hawa watakula nini, niendelee nisiendelee,” he added.

One of his younger children, his second last born, spoke on behalf of the family, telling the gathering that their father loves the people of Saboti just as much as he loves them.

Amisi’s wife, Diana Amisi, also addressed the audience. Having maintained a low profile over the years, her appearance and introduction to the public marked a rare moment for the family.

This was during a women’s fundraiser that brought together several MPs and leaders in support of the Saboti legislator’s women empowerment programme. The chief guest at the event was Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna. Other leaders present included Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba, Kitutu Chache MP Oliver Gesairo, and Bumula MP Jack Wamboka, among others.

Their activities

There comes a time when leaders such as Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna, Saboti MP Caleb Amisi, Bumula MP Jack Wamboka, and Kabuchai MP Majimbo Kalasinga unite to challenge the entrenched political order in Bungoma and Western Kenya, pushing for a youth-driven renaissance.

On July 13, 2025, they converged in Kabuchai for a women’s empowerment forum hosted by Kalasinga, where they raised Ksh2.8 million for over 5,000 women to bolster small businesses, showcasing their commitment to grassroots economic upliftment.

During the event, Sifuna’s gesture of gifting money for nappies to a woman who had just given birth won public admiration.

The group also collectively condemned Kenya Kwanza MPs for misusing empowerment funds and dismissed Wajir Woman Representative Fatuma Jehow’s vote-rigging allegations, demanding electoral accountability.
